BREAK THE SILENCE

  • No one is perfect, and sometimes we all need a helping hand. If someone you care about is showing signs of distress, reach out. A conversation, even a simple check-in, can make a world of difference. If you are struggling yourself, don't hesitate to talk to someone—a friend, family member, or professional. There is no shame in seeking help.

BECOME AN ADVOCATE

  • One of the most powerful ways we can all help is to advocate for mental health. Raising awareness, starting conversations, and supporting each other who may be struggling are all crucial steps in raising awareness. Small acts of kindness—like checking in and listening without judgment to a family member, neighbor, or friend—can have a lasting impact. It only takes one word of “hello,” to start a conversation and someone know you care.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Anyone can take action by supporting organizations that provide mental health resources and crisis intervention. Having learned first- hand the difference advocates can make for families and communities, a portion of the proceeds from EVERY sale of this book will be donated to programs that include Madi’s House Inc. and NAMI. This is one small way we can make a big difference together. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps programs that support those in need.
